The Production Machine Shop Manager oversees and manages the operations and human resources of the HQ machine shop including the shipping/receiving department.
They will formulate planning and best practices to ensure the best use of material and human resources in order to meet our company goals and objectives.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Production Schedule Oversee and coordinate the overall production schedule to ensure the best possible delivery to the customer.
Ensure adequate time is made available to package and deliver products by customer due date.
Management of the weekly production meeting, production report and Will Ship report.
Foresee and prevent production bottlenecks and develop solutions to facilitate the best overall result for our customer's and the company.
Coordinate and facilitate the production of parts to facilitate timely delivery of our pump repair business.
Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Projects Partner with Foundry Manager to facilitate route cause analysis and preventative action associated with casting defects.
NCR & PFC analysis and production support to facilitate long term solutions.
Manpower analysis and plant equipment analysis to support the growth goals of the company.
Support of employee training program and ISO compliance program.
Partner with Service Manager to support the growth of the Pump Repair business and ensure processes and deliveries are consistent with the overall objectives and goals of the company.
Key Account coordination and support Customer interface in support of sales team to facilitate Order Intake Partner with sales team to ensure customer satisfaction Administration Additional coordination or administrative support as required Personnel Management Continuous training and development of machine shop personnel Attend and contribute to management team meetings.
Be an example of adhering to the company's core values and objectives.
Act as a liaison between the machine shop and the sales team.
Be the face of the machine shop operations in customer interactions, questions, and issues.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent.
5-10 years of machine shop experience Minimum of 5 years machine shop supervisory experience Part and Pump Drawings - capable of reading and interpreting engineered drawings.
Capable of writing business documents (plans and procedures) Computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat as a minimum.
Quality Assurance System - knowledge of ISO-9001:
2008 and ability to train others on company procedures.
Excellent communication skills and writing skills Centrifugal Pumps - good knowledge of API part types, use and manufacturing processes required to produce components.
