Responsibilities:
Installation of telecommunications cables, including Cat6, fiber optic and low voltage communication cables Installation of Telecom devices such as PAGA speakers/beacons, CCTV cameras, desktop radios and antennas Terminate, splice, and install a variety of fiber optic connectors and enclosures Proficient in using fiber tools and fiber optic test equipment including fusion splicers, power meter and OTDR (Fluke Networks) Proficient in using network cable analyzer tools (e.
g.
Fluke DSX) Ability to read, understand and update engineering details Perform construction activities, including, pulling new cable/fiber through conduits and installing lightweight instrument tray Education, Skills and
Experience:
Minimum of three (03) years' experience in a construction environment Minimum of two (02) years' experience in Oil and Gas industry Relevant certificates (e.
g.
CFOT considered an asset) Good computer skills (Microsoft office, power-point etc.
