Our Gulf Coast branch provides services for our customers locatedin Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma andTexas. Within the Gulf Coast branch, Veolia operates a hazardous wasteincinerator in Port Arthur, TX, a service center in Baytown, TX and a servicecenter in Morrow, GA. The Gulf Coast branch offers the following services: LabChemical Services, On-Site Services, Transportation, Household Hazardous Waste,Reactive Chemicals, Remediation, Training Services, Specialty Services, DrumManagement, Incineration, Fuels Blending, Recycling and Radioactive WasteManagement.
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing and managingall aspects of the branch operation within a geographical area to includehealth and safety, environmental compliance, sales quotas, a variety ofoperational services, and the hiring and training of subordinates. Works withhis/her team to establish annual goals and objectives. Maintains profit and lossratios in concert with regional objectives to increase profit margins whilereducing costs. Oversee subcontractor project completion in accordance withregulatory guidelines. Reviews and approves project estimates, proposals, andcontracts on existing and/or new accounts of significant revenue size.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Develop and compare direct and indirect cost factors inrelation to what the market may bear or what to competition may be charging forsimilar services.
Prepares annual budgets to include manpower, materials, and equipmentrequirements and periodically reviews EBIT budget forecasts to procurement ofactual business obtained.
Enforce all environmental, health, safety, transportationand operational procedures in accordance with VESTS policies.
Thorough knowledge of disposal site capabilities andlimitations prior to shipping hazardous materials to ensure efficient disbursementand storage.
Maintain a professional image to clients by answeringinquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and/or potential problems.
Oversee all federal, state, and local compliance activitieswith the goal of achieving compliance with all applicable regulations.
Implement all mandatory training courses as required byOSHA, DOT, EPA as well as update refresher courses instituted by Veolia.
Oversee operation of all and maintenance of all equipment ina professional manner to insure optimum efficiency and effectiveness tocomplete project(s) in a timely manner.
Regularly reviews contract bids and pricing for cost ratios,accuracy of terminology and preparation prior to agreement of contractspecifications.
Provide a safe and compliant work environment for all employees

Education/
Experience:
Bachelors of Science in Chemistry or related sciencediscipline or equivalent work experience required
8 to 10 years of hazardous waste experience required
Extensive knowledge in the following areas: DOTR, EPA, TSCA,and OSHA required.
Certification/Licenses:
40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
A valid driver's license

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
